Privacy
The short version
- No analytics, trackers or ads. We set no cookies.
- Nothing loads from other companies’ servers: fonts and images come from bugbear.io.
- If you email us, we use what you send only to reply and, if you ask, to prepare a proposal.
Who is responsible
Bugbear, the QA audit business behind bugbear.io, is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at pricing@bugbear.io.
Visiting this site
bugbear.io is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser details and the pages you request. If Cloudflare needs to check that a visitor isn’t a bot, it may set a strictly necessary security cookie.
Cloudflare gives us aggregated statistics, such as the number of requests, that don’t identify individual visitors. We don’t use this data to identify you or to build profiles. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Cloudflare describes its own practices in its privacy policy.
When you email us
We receive your email address, your name and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and, if you ask for one, to prepare a proposal. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) or our legitimate interest in answering messages (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Our email is hosted by Google Workspace. We keep messages as long as we need them to handle your enquiry. If you become a client, we keep what the law requires for contracts and accounting.
Who else sees your data
Only our service providers, acting on our behalf: Cloudflare (hosting) and Google (email). They may process data outside the European Economic Area, using safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We never sell your data.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, and ask us to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, or to send it to you in a portable format. Just write to pricing@bugbear.io. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example in the EU country where you live or work.
Changes
If we change this notice, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
